Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken
- 3 onions sliced
- 4 tomatoes chopped
- 4 green chillis slit and chopped in 2 parts
- 1 whole garlic minced.
- 1 tsp tumeric
- 1 tsp nihari masala
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Salt as per taste
- Coriander a bunch chooped
- Ghee for cooking
Method
- Add ghee in a deep bottom pan and add onions. Saute till its light brown in color.
- Make a puree of fried onions.
- In the same pan with left over ghee add fried onions and garlic and saute for 1 minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes or till oil separates.
- Add green chillis, tumeric powder, chilli powder, nihari masala, salt and bhuno for 1 minute.
- Add chicken and bhuno again for 5 minutes.
- Add 3 cups of water and let it cook on mid flame for 10-15 minutes or till chicken is cooked.
- Check seasonings and if its required add salt or nihari masala for more chatpata taste . Garnish with coriander and serve hot with rotis and rice.
