Ingredients:
- Round gourd(Tinda) – 500 gms, medium-sized, peeled, boiled, minced in a mixer
- Butter – 3/4 cup
- Onions – 1 cup, chopped
- Tomatoes – 1 cup, chopped
- Garlic chopped : 3 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp, roasted
- Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Jeera Powder – 1 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Green Chillies – 5
- Green Coriander – 2 tbsp, chopped
Method:
- Heat butter in a kadai, add jeera and garlic.
- Add onions let it sauté till it turns translucent then add tomatoes and fry for a while.
- Add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, jeera powder, coriander powder and mix well.
- Cook until the tomatoes turn soft.
- Add the tinda and cook covered on low heat.
- Bhuno for half hour, the trick is to bhuno it the best. In end add garam masala and coriander leaves
- Serve hot, garnished with green chillies and coriander.
